Recently, it’s been so cold here in Seattle that shooting outfits outdoors is pretty brutal so my coat tends to cover up much of my outfits recently. In today’s post I want to talk about lace. I’m a huge fan of lace and I don’t think there’s a more feminine fabric out there. Whenever I wear lace I always feel so girly. This year, I plan to add more lace pieces to my closet and to kick it off I’ve rounded up several of my favorite lace tops like this pretty one from the LOFT or this one from Nordstrom.
Happy New Years and welcome to the first outfit post of 2017! This past year was a crazy one – between buying a house and getting married this year was definitely full of firsts. Though we had several big life events I’m definitely ready for a new year. This coming year is going to be exciting, we are planning a big trip to China for wedding number two and to tour around in Beijing and Shanghai (I’m so excited to blog about those trips!). Along with travels I have big plans for the blog in terms of content and focusing on strategy and growth. 2017 is going to be filled with a lot of hard work and hustle but I’m excited for the opportunities it will bring.
We are so close to Christmas I can barely wait! I’m counting down the days until I can have some much needed R&R. I don’t know about you but December is has been a much busier month than I expected. Between all the holiday parties this has been an exhausting month! For my office holiday party last week I wore the metallic green embroidered skirt in this outfit post. This is actually an old Forever 21 skirt from a few years back that I still really love, and still get a lot of compliments on.So many people wear red as the festive holiday color but I’m really liking the deep emerald green (check out these versions here and here). Paired with a black sweater, tights and heels this made a super easy and festive look that has still has many uses all the way to Christmas. If you’re in need of a last minute outfit for Christmas or any other holiday events happening within the next week check out my favorite picks below.
Recently, my go-to winter outfit has been this camel waterfall coat, a basic sweater and dark wash jeans. The coat I’m wearing is sold out but here are two similar ones from MANGO that I really like as well here and here. I also am in love with this cream Ralph Lauren wool-cashmere blend wrap coat.
Wearing white pants in after Labor Day used to be taboo but not anymore, if done right. I bough these white pants (similar Vince Camuto pair here) at the end of the summer and sadly only wore them once or twice but I didn’t want to put them away until next year so I style them with a pair of ankle booties, a heather gray shirt (similar here) and a plaid fringe scarf (similar here) and since it was freezing outside topped it off with black pea coat.
