This past Saturday we took a trip about an hour north of Seattle to see the famous Tulip Festival. This is a big thing every spring and yet after living here for five years this my first time seeing it. We were lucky to have a really nice, sunny spring day to enjoy exploring the tulip fields. Though the crowds were kind of a “thing” it was still a really fun day and I can finally say I’ve seen the tulips in person. Planning what to wear was kind of difficult because it is recommended that you wear boots of some sort as there may be muddy areas, and there were definitely muddy areas. I decided that Hunter boots would be the base of my outfit. Because it was so nice out I wanted to wear a skirt so I threw on a black and white striped mini skirt that I found years ago at Forever 21 (similar here and here). I paired with a pale pink sweater and topped it off with a trench since it was still a bit breezy. I’ve had this trench forever and am so excited that an upgrade that my husband got for my birthday is currently on its way to me! I’m also loving this one from Madewell and this one from Everlane, both are under $140! Click read more to see more photos and details from our trip to the tulip fields.
Hello Lovelies! April is gearing up to be an exciting month for me. From starting a new job to my upcoming birthday, there’s quite a bit to celebrate. As excited as I am for this month, May is going to be even crazier! We are taking a 2 1/2 week trip to China for our second wedding with all of my husband’s side of the family and I expect it to be quite the experience. More details to come on the blog about that later, obviously! For now though, let’s get to the outfit! I’m a huge fan of Aritzia and every time I go to their store I want it all. How can this much gorgeousness be all in one place?! I made a trip there this week to treat myself to some new threads for the new job and fell in LOVE with these Wilfred Allant Pants. These lightweight pants are made from naturally textured linen and blended with lyocell to make them even more comfortable to wear. I absolutely love the drawstring which ties into a pretty bow in the front. I got these in the color cario but there are also six other colors to pick from as well. These are definitely on the pricer side at $110 so if that’s out of your range I also found two similar rosy pink pants from ASOS that are also adorable, see them here and here. I also found this gorgeous floral cross front blouse from Nordstrom on sale this week as well and thought that it paired perfectly with the Wilfred pants to make a lovely spring outfit. This blouse comes in several colors but sadly the specific print I have is already sold out, check out this alternative floral print and this solid pink version.
