Boyfriend jeans, shorts, and tee’s have all had their moment in women’s fashion over the past few years. What about the boyfriend watch? Women’s watch faces have increased in size year over year, seeming to mimic that of men’s watches. My issue is that many of these watches are so painfully stereotypical with bedazzled bezels or flowers on the watch face, which is not my style when it comes to a watch. I think a watch is a great way to make statement in any outfit but how can you really do it?
I stole (borrowed) my husband’s Tissot automatic watch for today’s post. Obviously the bracelet was a little to large for my wrist but he wouldn’t let me take out any of the links so I just had to go with it! This watch is definitely more masculine but also bears a bit more weight an substance than the cheap minimalist quartz watches available today. As a woman, there’s something empowering by wearing a watch with unique complications. Maybe it’s the mechanics and intricacies of an automatic movement or the weight of the watch that makes it feel more dominate than dainty feminine watches. Nevertheless, I encourage you to play around accessories that add an edge or boldness to your look. You never know what you might discover.
I’m excited to be sharing with you my final holiday gift guide for the season! Last but not least is my For Her Holiday Gift Guide. This includes some lovely pieces for any girl in your life. One piece I’m really excited about finding is the Factory Ride It Crossbody Bag from NastyGal. This bag is only $68 and resembles the oh-so-coveted Chloé Drew Mini Bag which comes with a pretty high price tag.

Buying Christmas gifts for men has always been a hard for me especially when trying to buy for my fiancé. He’s probably the most difficult to buy for, probably because he’s one of those men that buys whatever he needs rather than waiting for me to buy it for him. Regardless, I pulled together several nice and useful gift ides that will work for the man or men in your life. Happy Shopping!
Ah the holidays are upon us which means if you’re anything like me you’ve procrastinated on your holiday gift shopping. Even though there are many, many items that I love from large retailers and big brands I also love the idea of giving a more unique, non mass-produced gift. This is why I’ve pulled together a holiday gift guide that features ideas for your mom, sister, and girlfriends that consists of products found (and some even are made) in local Seattle businesses. Don’t worry if you don’t live in Seattle, all these products can be bought through their e-commerce shops. Links for all featured products are below, happy shopping!
Burrrr! The past few weeks in Seattle have really shown that winter has arrived. Now onward to the next 4-5 months of cold and rain. In some ways, I do like the seasonal change because now I get to break out my winter clothes and wear comfy sweaters as much as I please. I did a little bit of cold weather clothes browsing over the weekend and pulled together several of my top picks for the season. I’m so in love with the blush pink wool coat (Christmas list item anyone?!). Shop all the pieces below:
